A Quest For Knowledge

Hello, let me first thank you for joining me in the quest for knowledge.  I must confess I have been reading many books and articles on or concerning prayer.  I came across one which really caused me to pray.  It dealt with unanswered prayers.  I got excited when he defined prayer, but soon found that our theology different in fundamental beliefs.

"Prayer is one of the most asked about subjects in the Christian life.

We use the word "pray" for me quite often.  Instinctively we know about it, yet experimentally we face question after question.  If God knows all my needs, why should I pray?"  If He already know why should we have to ask?  The claim that we don't get an answer to our prayer, because we are asking God for things which is in a different dispensation.

Well come let us go on a quest for knowledge.

1.  "Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you; For everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened (Matthew 7:7, 8)

Jesus was displaying the depth of the Father's Love for His children.  In order to receive and understand these promises we can't intellectualize them, but receive them in the spirit.  For we know that God is a spirit and He created us in spirit, and clothe us in flesh.

(Let us discuss this portion of our prayer life)

Matthew 18:19 - In all these scriptures find and define the key word, which makes these relevant for us today.
